Elijah William Brown is an American operatic tenor from Omaha, Nebraska. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from The University of Alabama.
Praised for the power and the many expressive colors of his voice, as well as the depth of his dramatic interpretations, Elijah is quickly gaining recognition within the opera world. He currently resides in Miami, Florida, where he continues to refine his craft.

Hailed as a “scene stealer” that “exudes showbiz chops” (South Florida Classical Review) American Tenor Elijah William Brown is having an exciting season so far in 2025.
Elijah was seen most recently as Alfredo in Giuseppi Verdi’s La Traviata with Spotlight on Opera’s inaugural season as part of Tulsa Opera, Siegmund in Richard Wagner’s Die Walküre with Dramatic Voices Midwest, and was also seen as The Prince in Antonín Dvořák’s Rusalka with LAHSOW Opera Workshop in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Earlier in 2025 Elijah was a featured soloist on a concert performance of Adolphus Hailstork’s cantata for tenor and chorus “I Will Lift Up Thine Eyes” with the Vero Beach Choral Society, and was featured in various recitals for organizations around Miami, Florida where he currently resides.
Past seasons include being selected as an Artist-In-Residence at the Florida VOICE Project with Sherrill Milnes, singing Loge in Richard Wagner’s Das Rheingold with the LAHSOW Opera Workshop, singing Ferrando in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Così fan tutte with the Utah Vocal Arts Academy, singing both Lysander and Tom Snout with the Miami Music Festival in their production of Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and singing Tamino in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte with the University of Alabama Opera Theatre.
As a lover of American Contemporary Opera, Elijah has performed in 3 world premieres; RSBE (Remove Shoes Before Entering) in 2020 by Michael Ching, Let Us Now Praise Famous Men in 2019 by Joseph Landers, and Stranger from Paradise by Nevada Jones and Kevin Lawler in 2017 with Opera Omaha.
A native of Omaha, NE, Elijah received his Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and his Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Alabama.

The Prince - Rusalka
Antonin Dvořák’s Rusalka -
A Young Prince becomes entranced by a mysterious water nymph who longs to be human. Rusalka sacrifices her voice to join him on land. Unable to understand her otherworldly nature, the Prince wavers, drawn toward the charms of a fiery foreign Princess. His betrayal seals Rusalka’s fate, casting her back into the realm of spirits. Too late, the Prince realizes his love for her was true. Seeking redemption, he finds Rusalka by the lake once more. Though she warns him that her kiss now means death, he accepts it willingly. The Prince dies in her arms, redeemed by love but destroyed by his weakness.

Exhausted, injured, and fleeing enemies, a young man seeks refuge in a house in the woods. This is the home of Hunding and his wife Sieglinde, who is trapped in a loveless arranged marriage. The two sense an irresistible bond, and they discover they are long-lost twins, destined to ignite a forbidden passion. Siegmund seizes the magical sword Nothung, promised to him by his father Wotan, and vows to fight for his love and their freedom. But the gods decree otherwise: Wotan is forced to sacrifice his favorite son to preserve divine order. On the battlefield, Siegmund falls to Hunding - betrayed by fate and abandoned by the father who empowered him. Alfredo Germont falls passionately for the dazzling courtesan Violetta, believing their love can transcend society’s scorn. He convinces her to abandon her glittering life in Paris for a quiet devotion together, but his youthful ardor soon collides with reality. When his father pressures Violetta to leave for the sake of the family’s honor, Alfredo is left bewildered and wounded. Mistaking her sacrifice for betrayal, his jealousy and pride erupt in public cruelty. Only later does he learn the truth—that she gave him up out of love. Racing back to her side, Alfredo finds Violetta gravely ill, their happiness stolen by time and circumstance. He pledges his eternal devotion, but it is too late. Violetta dies in his arms, and Alfredo is left broken, a man whose love was real but whose immaturity destroyed it.
